My name is Mike Garner and I run Really Good Writing content solutions. Along with a team of creatives that I know and trust – copywriters, translators and designers, we tell your story.

Not just with writing, the development of modern media techniques has opened up so many new possibilities and ways of getting your message across. Video, voice and endless multimedia content solutions are now available to us and many more will be in the future. Just writing a press release when you release a new product seems like, well, a missed opportunity. Why not take advantage of all the opportunities that social media offers?

Our work together will be a collaboration, you know your business and we know about communication. We keep abreast of the fast changing communications landscape and ensure you have the best tools that are suited to your business.

For my personal history, I’ve worked in translation and writing for about 15 years. I’ve covered a lot in that time. I’ve worked for major corporates like Orange, France Telecom and Michelin and small start ups, too many to mention.

Previously, I worked in travel and business information before that, I was a dogsbody in a market research company and I had paper rounds and milk rounds in the 1970s. I lived in France for 20 years and went native. I gained a love for French cinema , steak tartare and the Breton coastline from the experience.

I’m originally a London boy, but through a long sequence of events I came to rest in Somerset.

I plan to move on again next year, even further west, to Devon.

I have a unhealthy interest in seventeenth-century millenarians, experimental and leftfield music

I make a mean onion tart (that used to surprise the French!).

I’ve also got a degree in History and French.
